Tsipouro (Raki) inPogoni is a serious “case” that is why we devote time during its production and we honor it in every occasion.
The production of raki needs a lot of time because it follows the same traditional rules with the old, brass boilers distillation method, from grapes collected by local house courtyards. Every winter a festival takes place in Pogoni for the production of Tsipouro, mostly in November.It is an excuse for a big, local celebration while rich local dishes and tsipouro is served , always accompanied by traditional Pogonisian music.
